Skomer Island

Skomer Island is an internationally renowned nature reserve.
We are a 15 minute drive away from the embarkation point at Martins Haven. From here you can catch the ferry for an unforgettable visit to the island .

Skomer is famous for its birdlife, particularly the Atlantic Puffin – the island has the largest colony in Southern Britain;  a third of the world population of Manx Shearwaters nest on the island.

Boats sail to Skomer from Martins Haven every day except Monday (Bank Holiday Mondays excepted) from April to October between 10am and 12 noon.  There are limits on the number of people allowed to visit the island on any one day (250). Advance bookings are not possible and tickets are strictly on a first come, first served basis therefore it is best to arrive at the ticket office (Lockley Lodge) at Martin’s Haven by 8.30am at the latest, especially from May to July.
